From the day you first book us to the minute your last guest leaves your reception, we will be there to help make sure everything goes as you dreamed it would. We will help you coordinate your day or we can work closely with your wedding planner, it's up to you. Our goals is that you have a worry free event and wonderful memories always!
With a music library of over 40,000 songs we can make sure you and your guests have a great time. If we don't have a song you request, we will purchase it especially for your event!. We will do a FREE consultation with you before your event to go over what types of music you enjoy and what specific songs you want for those special dances. Don't know what you want? How long has Jimmy been doing DJ entertainment for weddings and other events? Well over 25 years!
How many weddings does Jimmy do each year? Jimmy is booked almost every Saturday, we encourage you to call as soon as possible to book your date! It's best to book at least 6 months in advance, preferably 12 months, however things do happen where we have cancellations so call anyway!
Does Jimmy play for any other types of events? YES! Jimmy plays for all types of events.
Does Jimmy travel? Yes, however there is a fee for travel beyond the Redding area. This fee is based on travel time.
What makes Jimmy different from his competitors? We believe that the personal service we give is just one of the things Jimmy Bryant's offers to our clients. Also, the many years of experience that Jimmy has makes him the best choice for your DJ. Jimmy is fun and personable and very professional.
Does Jimmy offer any other type of entertainment besides DJ? Yes, Jimmy also plays piano/keyboard and sings. Debbie also sings beautifully.
Does Jimmy act as Emcee also? Yes, he does. With the many years experience Jimmy is quite good at Emceeing. He balances what he says very well so as not to 'over-talk', this is your day, Jimmy wants you to be the center of attention!
What type of music does Jimmy play? All types. Jimmy has extensive knowledge of music and can pick a songlist to suit any crowd. At your consultation, we will go over with you what types of music you like and which ones you don't. The 'style' is geared to your tastes.
What if people don't dance? Of course, we can't control people that don't want to dance, however the music that is played is picked to get them up out of their chairs and dance! Most (I can't say 'All' of course!) of Jimmy's gigs are very successful with people dancing until the very end.
Is the music library kept up-to-date? Yes! We purchase professional DJ music every month. A minimum of 30 songs are added to our library each month. Also, we will go over the music with you prior to your event and IF there is something we don't have, we will purchase it especially for you.
Do you take requests from the guests? That's up to you.
When will Jimmy arrive to our event? We will work with you on set-up time, weather it be just prior to the event or earlier in the day. Jimmy is set up and ready to begin playing music 30 minutes prior to the start of your event.
What is Jimmy's attire for work? Jimmy is always dressed appropriately for the type of event. It can be tuxedo shirt and bow tie or slacks and dress shirt. Jimmy always looks nice and professional.
Does Jimmy takes breaks? Not usually, it is listed in our contract for the DJ to take breaks but this rarely occurs. A quick trip to the bathroom is usually it! The music never stops though!
Is Jimmy insured? Yes.
What type of equipment does Jimmy use? Since we have several systems, this is hard to answer. All our equipment is professional quality. We use a high-powered computer and professional DJ program. Jimmy also brings a back-up computer. Please see our 'Rental and Lighting' page.
Does Jimmy advertise at his gigs? No, however he will give a business card if requested.
